Providing Comprehensive Therapeutic Approaches
Child therapy encompasses a variety of techniques and approaches designed to help children cope with emotional, behavioral, and mental health challenges. At our therapy center, we specialize in six distinct methods: play therapy, EMDR with play therapy, expressive arts therapy, sand tray therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy and child-parent relational therapy. Each approach is tailored to the unique needs of the child, ensuring a supportive and nurturing environment for healing and growth.

Play therapy is a structured, theoretically based approach to therapy that uses play as a means of helping children express their feelings and resolve psychosocial challenges. Through play, children can explore their emotions, develop coping mechanisms, and communicate their experiences in a safe and controlled setting. Our play therapy sessions often include the use of toys, games, and creative activities that engage the child and facilitate meaningful interactions.
Expressive arts therapy integrates various forms of creative expression—such as drawing, painting, music, and dance—into the therapeutic process. This type of therapy allows children to use their creativity to express their emotions and experiences, often leading to greater self-awareness and emotional release. Our therapists work closely with each child to identify the most effective forms of artistic expression for their specific needs.
Sand tray therapy is a form of expressive therapy that uses a sandbox and miniature figures to create scenes and narratives. This technique allows children to project their inner world onto the sand tray, providing a tangible medium for exploring emotions, resolving conflicts, and gaining insight into their experiences. Our therapists guide children through the process, helping them interpret and understand the symbolic meanings of their creations.
Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) is a structured, goal-oriented approach that focuses on identifying and changing negative thought patterns and behaviors. CBT helps children understand the connections between their thoughts, feelings, and actions and teaches them strategies for managing stress, anxiety, and other emotional challenges. Our therapists work with children to develop practical skills and techniques that can be applied in everyday life.
A therapeutic approach, aimed to strengthen the attachment between children and their caregivers. This approach is typically completed in 10 therapeutic sessions with both the child and caregiver(s) present. In CPRT, caregivers become more in tune with the physical and emotional needs of their child. Caregivers improve communication with their child to facilitate co-regulation for emotional stability. In this framework, the child begins to feel more understood and accepted.
