How we work together.

With deep roots in Brevard County spanning four decades, Dana brings a genuine understanding of the community she serves and a lifelong passion for helping others navigate relationships, personal growth, and life transitions.

Dana holds a Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education from the University of Central Florida and a Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Keiser University. Her background in education, combined with her clinical training, gives her a unique perspective on emotional development, family dynamics, and the ways our relationships influence our overall well-being.

Dana takes a collaborative, individualized approach to therapy, drawing from evidence-based and relationship-focused approaches including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), and Gottman-informed interventions. As a Gottman-trained therapist, she works with couples to strengthen emotional connection, improve communication, navigate conflict, and build healthier, more fulfilling relationships. When requested, Dana can also incorporate faith into therapy in a way that respects each client’s individual beliefs and values.

Dana works with children ages 8 and older, teens, adults, couples, and families. She supports clients experiencing anxiety, relationship concerns, family conflict, communication difficulties, emotional challenges, and significant life transitions. Her work focuses not only on what clients are struggling with, but also on helping them recognize patterns, develop practical tools, and create meaningful change.

For clients who desire it, Dana also offers faith-based counseling, thoughtfully incorporating a client’s faith and spiritual beliefs into the therapeutic process while honoring their individual values and preferences.

At the heart of Dana’s approach is the belief that therapy should feel both supportive and purposeful. She creates a space where clients can feel heard and understood while also gaining insight, building skills, and working toward the life and relationships they want.

Whether she is working with an individual navigating a new chapter, a child learning to understand and manage emotions, a family working toward healthier communication, or a couple strengthening their relationship, Dana approaches therapy as a collaborative process built around understanding, connection, and meaningful change.
