How we work together.
Miranda brings a warm, gentle presence to therapy and believes that feeling safe, understood, and genuinely accepted is an important part of the healing process. She knows that opening up can feel difficult, especially when you have spent a long time carrying things on your own. Her approach is compassionate and unhurried, allowing clients to move at a pace that feels comfortable while building trust along the way.
With 14 years of experience working with adults, adolescents, and families, Miranda supports clients experiencing anxiety, depression, trauma, grief, codependency, relationship concerns, and the lasting effects of difficult or painful experiences. She is especially mindful of how trauma can affect the way we see ourselves, relate to others, and respond to the world around us.
Miranda is a trauma-informed therapist who often begins by helping clients feel more grounded and better understand what is happening in their minds and bodies. From there, therapy can gently move toward the experiences, patterns, or emotions that may be keeping them stuck. She draws from EMDR, trauma-focused cognitive behavioral therapy (TF-CBT), Internal Family Systems (IFS), and other approaches, tailoring therapy to the individual rather than expecting the individual to fit a particular approach.
As both a Licensed Mental Health Counselor and an educator, Miranda values helping people understand themselves—not simply giving them tools or telling them what they “should” do. Her style is supportive, thoughtful, and collaborative, with room for both reflection and practical strategies.
Miranda welcomes people from all backgrounds and strives to create a space where clients can show up as they are.
